Bay Area Burger Week celebrates the art of the burger. You might feature your most popular burger, design a new one specially for Burger Week or feature several burgers and meal combos. Be creative and have fun!
Menus: Each participating restaurant will offer one or more burgers at special prices—available à la carte or as part of a combo with sides.
Burgers: Chefs are encouraged to get creative and try something new, whether it’s debuting a brand-new burger or introducing a new twist on a customer favorite. Devise a mouthwatering menu at a great price. Burgers can be beef, chicken, lamb, fish, portobello, vegetarian, vegan or whatever a chef dreams up. Include a meal combo with side orders and drinks!
Photograph: Include an appealing photograph of a big, juicy burger!
Please make Burger Week visible: A special Bay Area Burger Week menu must be issued to supplement your standard menu. It should be clipped to, inserted in or otherwise presented along with the regular menu.
Impress new customers: Menu items should at the minimum be representative of your restaurant in both portion size and quality. Remember that your menu will leave an impression with diners, including many who may be trying your place for the first time.
Promotion commitment: Participating restaurants agree to mention Bay Area Burger Week in their regular promotional activities (social media, mailing lists, advertising), as well as provide a link to the BayAreaBurgerWeek.com site. During North Bay Pizza Week, Gabacool Provisions posted daily on Instagram and enjoyed more than 50 event-related visits!
Promote in-house as well as outside: Download the promotional materials we provide you. Hang a poster in your window. Use table tents so diners can download the app and mention your restaurant! Participating restaurants should offer a takeout option for enthusiasts who wish to enjoy a Burger Week burger at home or elsewhere.
Social Media: Participating restaurants will follow Bay Area Burger Week on Instagram and Facebook.
Use of names and logo: Your restaurant permits the use of its logo, name and a short description in connection with promotion of Bay Area Burger Week.
Tip, tax and beverages: Tax and tip are not included in the price. Please note this on the menu.
Gift Certificates: Each restaurant must contribute gift certificates to be used for promotional giveaways, and to compensate volunteer staff. Four gift certificates equal in value to the price of one of your special burgers, to be valid after Burger Week.
