Celebrate the San Francisco Bay Area’s creative chefs February 26–March 9.
APRIL 8, 2025—Burger enthusiasts from Healdsburg to Hollister will head to restaurants around the San Francisco Bay Area for the first-ever Bay Area Burger Week starting June 18, 2025.
Inspired by regional burger festivals around the United States and building upon the recent success of North Bay, Santa Cruz and Silicon Valley Pizza Weeks and Santa Cruz Burger Week, food establishments and media partners are collaborating to introduce what promises to become one of the Greater Bay Area’s signature culinary traditions.
Running from Wednesday, June 18 through Sunday, June 29, this pioneering festival is the region’s first dedicated to honoring America’s favorite hand-held meal: the iconic hamburger. More than 100 restaurants will prepare and serve special burgers and sides at special prices.
“Burgers are the ultimate platform for culinary creativity and a testament to our region’s diverse food culture,” said RestoWeeks’ Gordon Carbone. “Bay Area Burger Week brings together our incredible local restaurants, regional food producers and the communities they serve, making this a celebration of both food and the distinctive culture that defines the Bay Area.”
Participants will offer from one to five burgers, sides, beverages or combos at special prices.
Participating restaurants will be posted to the official event website, BayAreaBurgerWeek.com.
Bay Area Burger Week is all about celebrating the art of the burger. Each participating restaurant will offer one or more burgers at special prices—available à la carte or as part of a combo with sides. Chefs are encouraged to get creative and try something new, whether it’s debuting a brand-new burger or introducing a new twist on a customer favorite.
Burgers can be beef, chicken, lamb, fish, portobello, vegetarian, vegan or whatever a chef dreams up. Participating restaurants can also offer a takeout option for enthusiasts who wish to enjoy a Burger Week burger at home or elsewhere.
The list of participants also will be accessible on the Bay Area Burger Week app, which will be available for download on Apple’s App Store and via Google Play for Android.
Prizes from participating restaurants will be awarded to people who share photos and experiences via the app, and on social media.
Four regional events make up Bay Area Burger Week: East Bay Burger Week, North Bay Burger Week, San Francisco Burger Week and Silicon Valley Burger Week.
Burger lovers will find regional rosters of event participants in special editions of the East Bay Express, Metro Silicon Valley, Tri-City Voice, Morgan Hill Times, North Bay Bohemian and Pacific Sun.
North Bay Pizza Week, Santa Cruz Pizza Week and Silicon Valley Pizza Week recently featured more than 125 participating restaurants.
